
Wainfleet, ON – The quiet streets of Wainfleet came alive on July 21, 2024, as the town hosted the Road Provincial Championships. Organized by Ontario Cycling and Performance Driven Events, this annual event featured three separate races: the Individual Time Trial, the Road Race, and the Criterium. Cyclists from across Ontario converged on Wainfleet to compete on the fast and flat course starting and ending at the Wainfleet Arena.
The Individual Time Trial, a highlight of the championships, saw riders tackling a course down Canal Bank Road towards Bird Street before turning around to return to the start and finish area. This event, known for its speed and precision, was a true test of endurance and strategy for the competitors.
